Week of 4/24/23

This week I had to redo my dispenser. The old one always got clogged and wasn't going to work, so after talking with Mr. L, we found a design that works well. I started designing it in CAD and got a good frame done. In order to get the wheel part to turn, I have to use a geared motor, and for that I need an encoder. John helped me make one since I never did before, but we had some trouble. We tried a couple different light sensors before we used a hall effect sensor, which worked. We then got a motor driver all wired up to my breadboard, then Cormac helped me to solder and crimp wires to the motor. I made a lot of good progress this week, and I want to have a working cardboard dispenser done by next week.
