This week I focused on making my new dispenser. I modeled the whole thing in CAD, but it's very basic and I'll have to change it in the future. The first component that I physically made was the shuttle that carries one Jolly Rancher out of cardboard, but it was very thin and I couldn't use it. I figured out that I had to make it bigger by drawing the dimensions on a piece of paper, so I adjusted it and made a new version out of cardstock. It was still to thin, but Mr. Christy showed me a new method of folding once piece of cardboard into four sides, so I did that. Once that was done, I lasercut the bottom piece of the holder box to test with the shuttle. While once Jolly Rancher fit through the hole, they would get clogged and I would have to shake it to get it out. I'm going to have to redesign the dispenser again to fix this, and I'm thinking of just manually stacking them on top of
each other so they don't get clogged.
